WHAT IF FASHION WAS YOUR SUPERPOWER?

What if you could mix mirror balls with turbans, turn black kajal into a battle cry, or send lehengas soaring through the cosmos?

What if your crew could rewrite the rulebook, flip traditions on their head, and create a fashion riot—armed with only fabric, attitude, and wild imagination?

Welcome to STYLE WARS—where disco meets daku, goth goes desi, shaadi squads face off with space cadets, and sarcasm suits up for a showdown. It’s more than styling; it’s a fearless story, a visual revolution, and your ultimate chance to make fashion speak louder than words.

Who can participate?

Open to students in Grades 9–12
Team size: 6 to 10 members
Entries per team: One

THE TASK

Pick ONE theme from the list below
Create 6–10 styled looks (clothes, hair, makeup, accessories—no digital editing allowed!).
Build a moodboard that shows your process and inspiration.
Take powerful solo + group photos of your styled squad.
Shoot a 90-second Instagram reel that brings your fashion fantasy to life
Submit everything using our official templates and platform.

THEMES – PICK ONE AND GO WILD

Disco Daku
Sparkles meet bandanas. Retro meets rogue. 70s disco fever crashes into desi outlaw energy. Think mirror balls in the Wild West
Desi Goth
Black lipstick with jhumkas. Sarees over fishnets. It’s dark, moody, and unapologetically desi.
Shaadi Squad vs. Space Cadet
Big Fat Indian Wedding meets Galactic Rebels. Lehengas with lasers. Sherwanis in spacesuits. Chaos never looked this good.
Suits & Sarcasm
Boardroom beasts vs. fashion jokers. It’s power dressing with punchlines. Structured silhouettes and satirical sass.

GENERAL RULES & GUIDELINES

NO digital edits or filters. Only raw, real photographs are allowed.
Use only original or royalty-free licensed content. Be careful with stock images—ensure they are not under copyright or restricted use.
All content must be your own. Do not copy, borrow, or trace others' designs. Plagiarism is taken very seriously and will result in disqualification.
Avoid inappropriate, violent, or offensive visuals. Content that is hateful, sexist, racist, vulgar, discriminatory, obscene, or illegal in any context will not be accepted.
Dress with dignity. Participants must avoid wearing inappropriate or overly revealing clothing in visuals or at the event. Outfits must maintain a standard of decency.
Elegance matters. Respect your work—present your designs thoughtfully, with care and aesthetic value.
Avoid overdoing or repeating submissions. Do not submit the same design repeatedly with small variations (like color/material changes). Include such options within the same PDF documentation. Only your best version should be used as the main image.
Submit only through official Discover Design templates. Submissions that don’t follow this format will not be evaluated.
Respect deadlines. Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstance.
Promote your reel! Instagram votes will contribute to the final evaluation scores.
If shortlisted, bring printouts of your A3 styled look sheets to the final event.
Final submitted content becomes the property of Discover Design. We reserve the right to publish or showcase the work in design journals, books, blogs, articles, exhibitions, and across digital and print media.
All participants will receive certificates. The Top 3 teams will be awarded trophies and featured on our social platforms.

Note: All submissions must be original. No digital editing, filters, or
AI-generated content. Let your raw creativity shine. Submissions with
digital manipulation will be disqualified.
